RIOS LITE Smartphones

RIOS Lite extends the capability of RIOS to the user’s wifi or 3G/4G smartphone handset. The resulting wireless device is able to communicate to HF, VHF, UHF, 700/800 MHz radios  while providing PTT group communication among radios, PDAs and PCs. Additional features include RIOS GPS Viewer, RIOS Push-to-Stream Video, and remote RIOS Server Control with Authenticated Secure Access.   

 

RIOS Lite allows the first responder, COML or radio administrator to access and control their RIOS without relying on the assistance of a RIOS Client workstation. RIOS Lite users can  access their radio system without a traditional portable radio as well as provide interoperability, view on-scene video and receive snap shots from any location with a wireless connection.

RIOS Lite: Full-Spectrum Voice Communications to Radios, PDAs and PCs.

RIOS Lite connects to the RIOS Server via cellular network or local Wifi entry point. The user simply runs the RIOS Lite Application on their smartphone and logs into the authorized RIOS Server.

From here, the user can transmit to any authorized port or group. Groups can be created among radio networks, PDAs, PCs or any combination of resources interfaced to the RIOS Server. Users can PTT to trunking and conventional radio networks, create patches, dispatch groups, monitor multiple frequencies or chat among RIOS users.

 


RIOS GPS Viewer Module: Real-Time Location Tracking with PTT Capability

The RIOS GPS Software Module provides GPS tracking and mapping integration with several popular mapping applications. The RIOS user can view, in real-time, location information transmitted from the RIOS Lite handset with enabled GPS. Activated RIOS Lite devices are displayed in the top row of the interface and allow for PTT to selected users. Additionally, RIOS GPS Viewer interface with mapping application that provide street-view capabilities; allowing the RIOS users to virtually see the surrounding areas of the GPS device where available.

RIOS Lite with Video: Two-Way Video with Push-to-Stream Capability

RIOS Lite with Video allows the user to select and view video feeds from multiple IP camera sources interfaced at the RIOS Server. The user can view the remote video and communicate within their group using the PTT button within the image.

With RIOS Push-to-Stream Video, the RIOS Lite user can utilize the smartphone’s camera to send real-time video back to the RIOS Server and to other RIOS Lite users.

 


With RIOS Lite Push-to-Stream Video, the RIOS Lite user can utilize the smartphone’s camera to send real-time video back to the RIOS Server and to other RIOS Lite users. Likewise, RIOS Lite users can select, watch, and in some cases control live video feeds interfaced to the RIOS Server.

The System Diagram below illustrates a common fixed site installation with RIOS Lite. SyTech recommends a static public IP address from the customer's ISP for best performance.
