Using
the loop extender/slave unit a FAX transmission recorded on the
ADACS maybe decoded and viewed on
the user screen. The ADACS FAX
intercept and demodulation equipment collects data via a direct connection to the target
line. No other connection other than a normal Title III tap is required.
Once the session is recorded on the ADACS, the user simply selects the
playback display window, and clicks on the “DEMODULATE FAX” radio button.
The intercept of landlines and the decoding of FAX transmissions may only be
used by U.S. Law Enforcement Agencies through court ordered wire taps.
