Overview:

SyTech EIMS is an easy-to-use enterprise-level knowledge management tool that makes complex business intelligence accessible to all users, regardless of their technical expertise. The standard Microsoft PowerPoint™ template or a preset customized template can automatically be applied to the new presentation.

8. Business report generation tools. Generates reports of results in multiple formats and customized selection criteria. EIMS includes full support for saving results in common formats: Microsoft Excel™, Microsoft Word™, and Comma Separated Value (CSV).

EIMS Results Views:

EIMS results views present intuitive, visual representations of complex, multi-dimensional data. The flexible, dynamic results views consists of a connection to the data source, file properties, such as file name, key words, creation date and time, modified date and time, author, and content (search criteria). These results columns can easily be re-ordered, resized, or sorted for user customization. Microsoft PowerPoint™ files have the added field of slide title which is extremely useful for locating a particular slide.

Using Results Views:

After results are displayed EIMS enables users to quickly generate views of their data by double clicking on the filename. The file will open and the user can view the entire file then choose to save it to an additional location or simply close the file.

A powerful feature built into EIMS for use with Microsoft PowerPoint™ slides is an additional capability of showing a miniature picture (Thumbnails) of each slide in the results. User can select individual thumbnails and generate a new Microsoft PowerPoint™ presentation automatically. Alternately the user can select by checking off individual slides on the results screen and press the Create Presentation button to generate a new Microsoft PowerPoint™ presentation. This is a tremendous time saving feature.

Display Types:

For maximum flexibility and ease of use SyTech EIMS offers seven display types for viewing and searching data:

5. Picture files (.jpeg; .gif; .bmp)

6. Adobe Acrobat™ (.pdf)

7. Other (user adds additional file types, i.e. .rtf; .txt; .avi; .mpg; .wmv; .mpeg; .wav)

Each of the types is conveniently display on a tab. User can choose a specific file type tab to search for only files of that type or select multiple file types on the All Types tab.

Refining and Filtering Results:

SyTech EIMS allows users to quickly filter or refine the search results, by entering multiple search criteria and applying to the result set. Filters can also be used to exclude results matching specified criteria. Options include: Match any word, Match Exactly, Find partial Words, and Find whole words.

Sorting:

SyTech EIMS enables users to sort the results in ascending or descending order by any of the results columns

Reporting Features:

EIMS includes features that make it easy for users to share vital business data with others. EIMS’s intuitive formatting of data provides a convenient summary users can use or share with a single click of the mouse.

The Save As feature includes the most popular formats for communicating business information: Comma Separated Values (CSV), Word® documents, or Excel workbooks.

Export to Comma Separated Values (CSV):

The most versatile format, Comma Separated Values (CSV), is available to users who want to provide the results report in generic format for importing into most other programs. After selecting the print function the user then selects the Save to CVS button which prompts the user to specify a file name and location for the results file.

Export to Excel™:

Users who are familiar or comfortable with Microsoft Excel™ can export data from EIMS views in tabular form to a Microsoft Excel™ workbook. After selecting the print function the user then selects the Save to Excel button which prompts the user to specify a file name and location for the results file. Experienced Excel users will save time by using EIMS to quickly navigate through a result set or to select areas of interest.

Export to Word™:

After selecting the print function the user then selects the Save to Word button which prompts the user to specify a file name and location for the results file. Experienced Microsoft Word™ users will save time by having the document available for future use.
